When You Do it Wrong

We're all human, and sometimes that's not easy to remember.  Sometimes it's easier to remember that everyone else is human.  Sometimes we do it wrong.

It's been a trying season in my life for the two years or so with YWAMSF.  Most of that has been applying to the context of missions & community living, and most of that is natural and healthy.  Along the process though, it can be hard to remember that you're all in it together.  Our mission can become, or seem like, work.  Our co-laborers can seem like coworkers.  Our always can seem like 9-5.  I've been there in this last few months.  I've wanted to do everything I could at YWAM San Francisco to help see Communications help others in their ministries.  But sometimes we all do it wrong.

Where do you go when you do it wrong?  What do you do?  When you have more grace for yourself than for others?  It's important for us in the Body of Christ to realize that every part of the whole is human.  Some of us may be hands, or feet, or colons and kidneys, but all of us are subject to fault.  In our desire to see the goals we want to see happen, we can block our vision for how those goals will actually come to fruition.  The ends never justify the means, but that can be easy to lose sight of when all you see are the means in front of you with no ends in sight.

This post is a cheers to forgiveness.  Who do you need to forgive?  It can be as easy as letting go of something that you can't address anymore.  I know that's what it is for me a lot.  And every time, through Christ in His infinite mercy, in some way or another we're surprised by refreshment.  So take it from someone who wrongs, and someone who is wronged.  Let go of something today, and rest in the peace Christ gives you.
